Inheriting the DNA of the conventional "SK-6" model, we have taken it to the next level. Introducing the "SKV-R_RO," a next-generation karting helmet equipped with the newly developed GP-VAS Shield System and refined to achieve the smooth, strong form that Arai continues to pursue!

The shield mounting area has been optimized downward, creating a flush surface where the shell and shield become one. Its sophisticated shape, created by a smooth form with reduced steps, further improves aerodynamic characteristics and protection performance. In addition, a new high-rigidity locking system has been adopted to meet the strict requirements of the FIA 8859-2024 and FIA 8860-2018 Update standards. This ensures reliable retention performance and high reliability. The culmination of safety philosophy and accumulated technology applied to every detail will lead the new GPV-R series into the next generation of racing.

■ GP-VAS Shield System:
The shield mounting screw holes are positioned lower than the impact absorption test range of the IA standard, further improving impact absorption performance. Furthermore, the top position when the shield is closed is approximately 25 mm lower than the previous model, increasing the smooth surface area and enhancing "deflection performance." The GPV-R was precisely designed down to the details to further strengthen safety performance.

■ Enlarged Lower Field of View Opening:
The cut position of the opening has been precisely redesigned to improve visibility of indicators and other elements. Extensive verification was conducted based on balancing visibility and safety performance, and the newly accumulated development know-how was reflected in the design. This increases design freedom without compromising safety performance and expands the field of vision approximately 8 mm lower compared to the previous model.

■ Center Lock System Adopted:
A center lock system has been introduced so that it can be smoothly accessed from either the left or right side in the event of emergency rescue. In addition, the newly developed GPV-R shield lock system is designed so that even if the helmet receives a strong impact, the shield maintains its locked state while still allowing for easy unlocking. ■ Precise Response to Individual Fit:
A new system liner that can be adjusted without compromising fit has been developed. The newly designed removable liner makes sizing, washing, and replacement easier, while also improving ventilation. Both sides are equipped with an adjustable thickness function, allowing for precise adjustment to individual head shapes.

■ System Pad Designed for Options:
The new shape is refreshed to make microphone installation easier while broadening the field of vision. Cutting out the built-in sponge can secure an even wider field of vision. It is also equipped with x-cable grooves and buttonholes for microphone installation. A meticulous design is reflected throughout, with removable foam pre-cut for option compatibility.

■ Smooth Installation Without Processing:
The new center pad does not require unnecessary processing and is compatible with various hydration systems. It is designed for ease of use and practicality, allowing for easy and smooth removal.

■ Placement Redesigned Based on Verification Data:
The position of the top vent hole has been optimized 15 mm further forward than before. While maintaining safety performance, it improves airflow efficiency in the racing position, achieving excellent ventilation.
